This year Preston will go Monday - Thursday from 11:30-4:30 and Maren will go Tuesday/Thursday from 11:30-4:30. They start with lunch and recess then have the standard 2.5 hrs of class time (learning stations, free play, story time, weekly theme etc) and then they have 1.5 hrs of art/music and recess at the end. Both kids go to a small Lutheran preschool and will either stay until first grade or transfer to a private Lutheran kindergarten before they enter public school for 1st grade.
Here's the rough draft for our first day of school pics. I decided to have today be "casual" since it is just Preston going. Tomorrow we will dress both kids up all nice and fancy and call it the first day again!
In addition to school starting this week Preston starts soccer again, it's just a 2 hr camp that allows him to practice fundamentals. His friends Ben & Ryan are in the camp also so they should have fun, it runs every Saturday until mid October. The kids have a break then until the start swimming again in November (which runs through December). Maren and her friend Riley will start gymnastics in January, which we are both happy about.
